Wits Official To Discover Fate After Chiefs Altercation
Bidvest Wits official, Jonathan Schloss, will appear before the Premier Soccer League’s Disciplinary Committee this evening after being charged with misconduct.
The charges against Schloss came after an altercation with Kaizer Chiefs’ head coach, Steve Komphela, in September, with a war of words breaking out following the Clever Boys’ late equaliser.
It has been reported that Schloss has pled not guilty to the charges of misconduct, and he will discover his fate later this evening.
In the statement, the PSL said, “Mr Jonathan Schloss and Bidvest Wits have been charged with misconduct pursuant to the fixture between Bidvest Wits and Kaizer Chiefs which took place on 16 September 2017. He will appear this evening.”
Meanwhile, in other news, Platinum Stars have also been charged by the PSL, although their matter will only be heard in one week.
“The club has been charged with contravening the Compliance Manual for failing to submit their provisional squad list ahead of their fixture against Maritzburg United on 27 October 2017 at Harry Gwala Stadium. The matter will appear next week Tuesday,” the league explained.
