Jomo Cosmos have been charged on two separate matters by the Premier Soccer League and will have to appear before the Disciplinary Committee next week.
PSL Charges Cosmos Twice
The PSL today confirmed that the NFD side, who were knocked out of the Nedbank Cup at the weekend, have been charged for incidents regarding their fixtures against Cape Town All Stars and Mthatha Bucks.
Cosmos will now appear on May 4th after being charged with failing to honour a fixture and failing to honour the league’s U23 rule.
A statement read as follows:
The Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee has charged Jomo Cosmos on two matters.
Jomo Cosmos FC has been charged for their failure to honour their National First Division fixture against Cape Town All Stars FC which had been scheduled for 31 March 2017.
Pursuant to a Protest lodged by Mthatha Bucks FC, the PSL charged Jomo Cosmos with contravening Rule 35.2 of the NSL Handbook following their failure to have a minimum five U23 players present ‘at all times’ during their National First Division fixture against Mthatha Bucks on 11 February 2017.
They will appear in front of the Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee next week Thursday, 04 May 2017.
