Jomo Cosmos have announced that they will be moving their home games to Fezile Dabi Stadium in Parys, Free State, from next season.
The National First Division side have for a very long time been at Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa, where they had a fairly decent following. In 2009, the stadium underwent a R38 million renovation and brought up to PSL standards.
However, Ezenkosi have chosen to abandon the facility and play their home games at Fezile Dabi Stadium as from the 2014/15 campaign, with the announcement being made on Wednesday morning.
The stadium was built at a cost of R98 million and is a 15 000-seater, accommodating 5 000 more people than the Makhulong Stadium. The club tweeted, “Jomo Sono thanking the Ekurhuleni Municipality and Tembisa fans for their undying support.”
The team also took the opportunity to announce a new partnership with Barcelos, a flame grilled chicken franchise.
