Following the opening match of this year’s play-offs, where Leopards beat Platinum Stars 1-0 on Wednesday, Ezenkosi and Lidoda Duvha will battle it out for three points in their match this weekend in line with their quest for promotion to Mzansi’s top-flight at the end of PSL/NFD mini-league.

The crucial match for the two former PSL teams will take place at the Vosloorus Stadium on Sunday.

In their most recent NFD match, which was played on May 06 at the Thohoyandou Stadium, Leopards beat Leopards 3-0 to finish the season in style with their qualification for the play-offs.

Cosmos’ Thato Lingwati has said Jomo Sono’s side has picked weakness from both Leopards and Dikwena.

“We noticed the weak points between both sides after watching the game between Black Leopards and Platinum Stars and hopefully we can capitalize on them. We are focused on the task ahead. At the moment, team morale is high because everyone is fit to play and we are motivated by the possibility of playing in the PSL,” Ezenkosi captain told the club’s official website.

“We are not giving excuses, but the fact remains that seven of our regulars including myself, missed that game due to injury. Now that everyone is fit again, we hope to play with more confidence and purpose particularly as it’s our home game,” added the defender.

Cosmos were relegated from the PSL at the end of the 2015/16 season, and are now aiming for a return to Mzansi’s elite league.

“So I’d like to use this opportunity to call on our supporters to come in their numbers and get behind the team. Only four games stand between us and a return to the Premiership, and we must do our level best to make it happen,” said Lingwati.
