The Siya crew can report that Cavin Johnson and Platinum Stars have finally agreed on a settlement figure and that the matter has now been put to rest.
Johnson joined SuperSport United from Dikwena at the end of last season, while still contracted to the Phokeng-based side. In view of releasing the coach from his contract, Stars were looking for settlement figure.
It was originally reported that Stars were asking Johnson for around R3 million as a settlement payment for leaving the club before the expiry of his contract and that the matter was still a major issue ahead of the 2013/14 season.
Now that an agreement has been reached, Stars can step up their preseason preparations and Johnson can focus on the job at hand with regards to preparing SuperSport.
The settlement amount that has been agreed upon between Johnson and Stars is an undisclosed amount, but the Siya crew will do our best to find out what the actual figure is.
