With Mamelodi Sundowns already wrapping up the league title, Royal AM and Cape Town City will battle it out for second place and a CAF Champions League spot.
Both coaches seem to be playing mind games and Royal mentor, John Maduka has sent City coach Eric Tinkler, a message of his own.
Tinkler recently passed a comment stating that the KZN outfit's statistics are not high, but the club still manages to get results.
"Their possession stats are always lower than the opposition, yet they end up getting results," Tinkler said to the media after the draw against Royal last month.
Maduka has since responded to the Bafana Bafana legend, saying such comments are unfortunate.
"It is unfortunate that there are talks like that, because even though he won a game here against us but he never outplayed us, so it is unfortunate that some coaches focus on other teams... He must focus on his (own) team," Maduka responded.
"We done with his team in the league and if he did make those comments about us, it is just unfortunate. I don't think I should be focusing on him because we beat them in the Nedbank Cup, drew at his home ground.
"We respect him as a coach and he must be honest. If it is mind games, we won't buy into it, we will focus on our games and finish strong. Yes, we feel disrespected by those comments."
