Brockie’s Multi-Continent Race For The CAF CC Final

Jeremy Brockie Is Covering Some Ground To Get To SuperSport's CAF Final

By Soccer Laduma - Nov 14, 2017 05:00 PM
SuperSport United striker, Jeremy Brockie, will cover three continents in the space of a week in the build-up to the CAF Confederation Cup final.

Brockie, the top scorer in the CCC this season with 10 goals, is expected to fly out to the Democratic Republic of Congo with Matsatsantsa on Friday, despite the fact that just over 24 hours before the flight he will be battling it out for a World Cup spot with New Zealand in Peru.

Eric Tinkler’s side plan to fly out of South Africa to Lubumbashi on Friday morning ahead of Sunday’s clash with TP Mazembe in the first leg of their first ever continental final, and as things stand they plan for Brockie to be with them.

Having drawn 0-0 with Peru in Wellington last week, the Kiwis still have a good chance of securing a spot in Russia if they can get a result in the early hours of Thursday morning, but regardless of the result, Brockie will not have time to be disheartened or celebrate.

The striker is set to have gone from Oceania to South America to Africa in order to get back and join up with his SuperSport teammates on Friday, and is likely to have covered seven countries – New Zealand, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Brazil, SA and DRC - in five days by the time he arrives for the CCC final.

What about a jet leg? Remember Gould, williams, Daniels, furman and Grobler are also expected to play at senegal and fly again t meet up with the rest of the team for the CCC final. That worries me about the fatigue of the playing yaz. I'M pertubated by this.
