Orlando Pirates defender Happy Jele will miss Saturday’s CAF Champions League clash against AC Leopards due to suspension.
Jele is one of three Pirates players to have been ruled out of the game, because of suspension, with Andile Jali and Thabo Matlaba both serving their respective suspension on the sidelines.
Jali and Matlaba received their second bookings in Pirates’ 2-1 loss to Zamalek in the CAF Champions League Group A match in Egypt.
“Jele is definitely out of the game against Leopards. As you know, Collins Mbesuma and Thandani Ntshumayelo are out injured, while Andile and Thabo are also serving suspension, so all in all we have five players out of Saturday’s clash,” Pirates PRO Mickey Modisane told the Siya crew.
“We should be fine though in terms of fire power for this game. We’re currently finalising our travel arrangements and will be jetting out of the country to Brazzaville soon,” added Modisane.
After four rounds, Pirates are level with Egypt’s Al Ahly with seven points at the top of Group A, three ahead of Congo's AC Leopards and Zamalek of Egypt, who both have four points.
