Orlando Pirates defender Happy Jele is happy to be back in the Bafana Bafana fold again following a two year absence from the national team.
Jele, who last received a Bafana call up back in 2011 for the match against Burkina Faso, is amongst the nine Orlando Pirates players who have been called up by Bafana coach Gordon Igesund for next week’s friendly against Swaziland.
“First of all I didn’t expect to receive a Bafana Bafana call up, but I’m really grateful for it,” Jele told the Siya crew.
“I’m looking forward to the game against Swaziland and I’m hoping to play in this game, but as you know, that decision rests with the coach,” added Jele.
The other eight Pirates players in the Bafana squad announced by Igesund today are, Senzo Meyiwa, Thabo Matlaba, Rooi Mahamutsa, Andile Jali, Oupa Manyisa, Daine Klate, Kermit Erasmus and Lennox Bacela.
The game against Swaziland will be played on Friday, November 15.
