Orlando Pirates defender, Happy Jele, is confident that the club’s interim coach, Eric Tinkler, will lead the Buccaneers to victory when they take on Wits at Orlando Stadium tonight.
Tinkler will lead Pirates for the first time tonight after assuming the role of the interim coach following the resignation of Roger de Sa as coach last Friday.
“Eric has been with us for almost two seasons and he knows the players well, having worked with Roger during his stay here, so I have no doubt that he is capable of leading us to a win against Wits,” Jele told the crew.
“It’s not going to be an easy game for us and of course for Eric because he is coming up against his former team, but at the end of the day it’s up to us, the players to give him a win in his first game in charge of Pirates,” added Jele.
Pirates will meet Wits at Orlando Stadium tonight at 19h30.
