Maritzburg United have confirmed they have snapped up Wits' winger, Bhongolwethu Jayiya, on a six month loan deal. The player was also earlier linked with a move to Ajax Cape Town but now it's been confirmed that the Team of Choice will be his home until June.
Maritzburg were keen to bring in some reinforcements to their team during the January transfer window, and Jayiya's signing will no doubt give the club some attacking options. Meanwhile, Wits still see the player as being in their long terms plans but want him to get some more game time in the second half of the campaign.
United's Team Manager, Quintin Jettoo, confirmed the player's move to the club, "We're registering him now. We're happy to sign him because we believe he'll make a difference down the right wing. He's also got some goals in his locker as well. He's versatile so we can use him on the wing or in the hole behind the striker. He is with us on a six month loan deal."
