Jali Set For Oostende Move

Orlando Pirates midfielder, Andile Jali, looks set to leave South Africa, with a move to Belgian club, KV Oostende, close to being finalised.

The 23-year-old midfielder, who has less than six months left on his contract, has been an important cog in the Bucs machine for a few years now, playing a vital role in their 2012 treble and 2013 CAF Champions League run.

It was reported in this week’s issue of Soccer Laduma that the midfielder could indeed leave this month, with several teams in France keen, though it now appears that his next home will be Belgium.

Siya sources have revealed that Oostende and Pirates have already agreed on a transfer fee for the Bafana Bafana international, a move which will see the Buccaneers receive payment for Jali rather than lose him for free in January.

The crew are led to believe that the move could be finalised at some point this week, with the player set to undergo a medical with the ambitious ‘Kustboys’ as they look to secure their place in the Belgian Pro League.

Oostende, who currently have Mamelodi Sundowns’ Nyasha Mushekwi on their books, are sat in 12th place on the log, three points clear of the relegation zone.

The Siya crew will continue to monitor Jali’s situation as his departure from Pirates seemingly draws closer, with an announcement likely to be made in the next few days.

Would Belgium be a good move for Jali?
