KV Oostende’s most recent signing, Andile Jali, looks set to make his debut against Sporting Charleroi this weekend.
The 23-year-old passed his medical at the club on Wednesday, finalising his move from Orlando Pirates for around R15 million.
Now, with the paperwork completed, Jali is available for selection in Frederik Vanderbiest’s team, though it may be that he only starts from the bench at his new club.
Speaking to his Bafana Bafana teammate, Itumeleng Khune, on Twitter last night, the midfielder explained that he was set to play ‘this coming Saturday’, after Khune asked when he would be making his debut.
Meanwhile, the Kaizer Chiefs’ skipper wished his compatriot luck, saying, “Show them what u made of. Gud luck Tata, do ur best and God will do the rest.”
Jali’s transfer is believed to be the biggest in Oostende’s history, and fans of the club will no doubt be keen to see their newest addition in action as soon as possible.
