The quality of Orlando Pirates' goalkeeping department is proving to be key for Milutin Sredojevic and his team as they attempt to move up the PSL log.
The Buccaneers have moved up to 2nd on the PSL log, after picking up four points out of a possible six in their last two games.
Jackson Mabokgwane has come in to do the business for the team in the absence of Wayne Sandilands, who has been Bucs’ number one goalkeeper this season.
Mabokgwane has been in goal for the last two games, against Golden Arrows and Bloemfontein Celtic respectively, while third-choice goalkeeper, Siyabonga Mpontshane, has been on the bench.
Mabokwane has done well in keeping clean sheets in both games against Arrows and Celtic. Sredojevic and his technical team could be faced with a selection headache when Sandilands returns from injury.
As confirmed by the club, Sandilands returned from national team duty with Bafana Bafana complaining of discomfort on his Achilles.
Bucs are scheduled to host SuperSport United at the Orlando Stadium on December 05 in their next Absa Premiership game.
