According to the player’s representative Herve Tra Bi, the 24-year-old has offers in Europe, with clubs in Slovakia and Scotland set to monitor his situation as he will be working on regaining his fitness in the coming weeks after recovering from injury.

“Kamo Bayi has signed with FC San Pedro in Cote d'Ivoire. He had hoped to stay for longer in South Africa and play for Free State Stars to work his way up to the top division. He plans to come back in the future. For now, the important thing is for him to regain his fitness and to be at his best again and that’s why he has signed with a club back home,” said the representative.

“He has signed for two years with FC San Pedro but there is a buyout clause in his contract. He is already a target of two clubs in Europe in Slovakia and Scotland. Between the two clubs, one is ready to buy him out of his contract in the next transfer window. He is 24 years old and he has previously played in India and was the top goalscorer on two occasions in the 2016/17 and 2017/18 seasons.

Bayi had been with Ea Lla Koto from January last year.
