Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune, has today hinted that he will be extending his contract with the club via an image on Instagram.
The 27-year-old will see his current deal with the Amakhosi expire at the end of this season, and there has been plenty of speculation surrounding his future and whether he will commit to the club or not.
Now, after posting an image of him with the words ’12 Years’ on it, Khune added ‘And counting…’, suggesting that he may not be ready to move on from Naturena just yet.
The Glamour Boys’ fans have been left guessing for a few months now after Khune entered into the last six months of his deal, with him now able to open up talks with any other interested parties.
Khune, who has been offered a three-year deal, is slowly recovering from a long-term ankle injury, and could be set to make his return to action in the coming week as he draws closer to match fitness.
While the rumours surrounding the Amakhosi captain’s future will continue until he has put pen to paper, Chiefs fans will no doubt be buoyed by today’s post.
