It's About Time For Bilankulu And Wits

Despite dropping a couple of points in last night’s (17 September) Absa Premiership encounter against AmaZulu, Wits have started the season brightly and sit fourth in the standings behind Mamelodi Sundowns, Usuthu and SuperSport United.

Gavin Hunt’s charges did need a last minute equaliser from Ethiopian striker Getaneh Kabede to rescue a point at home, however the match was a tightly-contested affair with both sides arguably doing enough to win.

Additionally, Wits have assembled what looks to be a very talented squad, and it appears to be only a matter of time before they start to gel and really hit their best form.

This is something Wits defender Musa Bilankulu believes the future could hold for him and his team.

He told the Siya crew, “It was a tough game because AmaZulu came with a plan, and we ended up having to rush for a goal. We were under pressure in that second half, and we had to push for that late equaliser. Look, I believe everything is coming right and it’s only a matter of time before we start clicking."

Bilankulu added, "At times we seem to feel pressure when things don’t go our way, especially at home. It’s the first game we came back from behind at home which shows there is character in the team. I believe if we just relax on the ball, everything will fall into place. It’s because we can play and we can create chances.”
