There’s an imposter duping Premier Soccer League coaches and advertising a job that does not exist, one of the clubs has confirmed.
Swallows chairman David Mogashoa told the Siya crew this week that there is no head coach vacancy at the Dube Birds despite several claims that he has been making phone calls in search of someone to take over from Brandon Truter.
It’s come to Soccer Laduma’s attention that at least three topflight coaches have received phone calls from a charlatan claiming to be Mogashoa and offering them jobs.
“That’s not me because at Swallows we have a coach and he is busy preparing for the new season,” the chairman explained to the Siya crew.
“I would like to urge everyone to be vigilant because this is not the same time. It’s a scam and they are using my name to swindle people of their hard-earned money.”
Several agents have in the past also indicated that they have received calls from this imposter and asked to deposit an amount as high as R4000 to secure trials at the club.
