Maritzburg United are close to finalising a deal with Heinrich Isaacks. The Namibian international has impressed coach Ernst Middendorp and his technical team after spending over a week on trial with the side.
The 27-year-old midfielder confirmed with the Siya crew that negotiations that will seem him pen a deal with Pietermaritzburg-based side are ongoing.
“I am busy sorting out something and I will only know after I finish that. They are interested but I just have to sort out a few issues. I’ve been here for 10 days now,” said Isaacks.
Isaacks is currently captain of Namibian Premier League side Civics, however could be plying his trade in the PSL when the league resumes next month.
Ghanaian defender Mohammed Awal and Cuthbert Malajila from Zimbabwe are some of the players that have produced impressive performances for the Team of Choice, since joining the side, with Isaacks hoping to follow suit.
The midfielder will join countryman Virgil Vries at the club, should he sign, after the Brave Warriors goalkeeper concluded his move last week.
