Bongani Khumalo’s representative in the United Kingdom has explained that Ipswich Town are likely to pursue the loan signing of the South African defender after he impressed head coach, Mick McCarthy.
It was reported earlier today that the former Bafana Bafana captain had earned praise from McCarthy who said he had done ‘really well’ in Ipswich’s 2-1 win over Gillingham.
Now, speaking to the Siya crew, Khumalo’s representative Matt Kleinman said that things are looking good for the 26-year-old. He said, “Mick McCarthy has been very impressed with what he’s seen from Bongani so far and it’s highly likely that they’ll pursue the option to loan him from Tottenham Hotspur.”
It is believed that the Tractor Boys have already seen enough of Khumalo to know that they want to bring him on board, although it is now up to them to come to some sort of agreement with the defender’s current club, Tottenham Hotspur.
