As reported by the Siya crew in edition 1217 of Soccer Laduma, Ghanaian international Shot stopper Eric Ofori Antwi is keen on a move to Mzansi.
While he has no relation to Pirates’ Ofori, Antwi has been a regular in the Ghana setup and was on the bench when the Black stars took on Bafana Bafana in the recent AFCON qualifier at the FNB Stadium.
The 26-year-old is currently on the books of Ghanaian outfit Madeama, where he has been serving as club captain, but according to well-placed sources, Antwi is keen on taking on his next challenge, which is believed to be in the local league.
If he does make the switch to the PSL, Antwi will be the 38th Ghanaian player to have graced the local league in the modern era. Perhaps one of the more prominent of those is defender-cum-midfielder Edwin Gymah, who has turned out for no less than five clubs in the local league.
The Black Leopards player holds the record of being the Ghanaian player with the most league appearances in the PSL with 165 in total, having turned out for the likes of SuperSport United, Orlando Pirates, Mpumalanga Black Aces and Bidvest Wits.
