In This Week's Edition Of Soccer Laduma

In anticipation of this week's edition of Soccer Laduma, we preview some of the features included in issue number 943. The latest edition will be out on the shelves tomorrow, Wednesday, October 14.

Thabo Matlaba – Orlando Pirates’ enterprising left back, Thabo ‘Festival’ Matlaba, is back to his best following a lengthy injury.

The Tembisa-born speedster tells Soccer Laduma how Steve Komphela developed his game back at Free State Stars in a system that had no left winger.

The CAF Confederation Cup finalist also explains who his favourite player is, and surprisingly it is an Amakhosi player.

Mario Booysen – Highly-rated Mamelodi Sundowns defender, Mario Booysen, is in what is probably his final season to really make a name for himself at Chloorkop.

The centre-back from Bonteheuwel in Cape Town tells Soccer Laduma he has learnt that in football you can only improve by playing regularly.

The 27-year-old goes on to explain how it feels to have his brother David Booysen also playing in the PSL as a centre back for Maritzburg United.

Is Manqele & Abraw’s partnership The Real Makoya? – It’s been numerous seasons since Kaizer Chiefs have stuck to a hot partnership of two out & out strikers.

In this feature we have Marks Maponyane, Steve Komphela and Mike Mangena giving their analysis of the increasingly exciting new strike pair.

The feature also includes insightful information from the pair’s former teammate and Free State Stars captain, Paulus Masehe.

Also included in this week’s edition are… exciting features on Amajimbos’ U17 World Cup kick off, a Bafana v Angola CHAN qualifier preview, an interview with Jomo Cosmos’ talented young goalkeeper Sherwyn Naicker and SAFA Technical Director Neil Tovey in our Revolving Column.

South African football’s most powerful news machine, Siyagobhoza, has reports on Amakhosi keeper Riyaad Pieterse as he weighs-up his local options, we update you on a possible new sponsorship deal for Chiefs, a move for ‘Cheeseboy’ Mokoena is on the cards and Orlando Pirates set signs on a Zimbabwean.

It’s an exciting edition of Soccer Laduma, so don’t miss it!
