In This Week's Edition Of Soccer Laduma

In anticipation of this week's edition of Soccer Laduma, we preview some of the features included in issue number 885. The latest edition will be out on the shelves tomorrow, Wednesday, August 20.

Oupa Manyisa – The Orlando Pirates star midfielder, has been enjoying a good run of form and scoring goals so far this season. However, the confusion over his future at the club still remains unresolved as he is yet to sign a new contract with the Parktown-based club.

In this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma, Manyisa talks about his future at the club. He also talks about his future plans and we also get to hear from his camp about the latest on contract negotiations, and what the future holds for the Bafana Bafana midfielder.

We also hear from Orlando Pirates to get their side of the story on Manyisa’s future. Affectionately known as Ace, Manyisa also talks about the 2-0 MTN8 semi-final first leg win against Bidvest Wits and also previews the second leg coming up this Saturday night. He also talks about his former teammate and friend’s departure, Andile Jali.

Abel Mabaso – Having had a successful loan stint at Mpumalanga Black Aces from Mamelodi Sundowns last season, a lot of people expected Abel Mabaso to form part of Pitso Mosimane’s team in the new campaign. However, that didn’t prove to be the case as the KZN-born right back now finds himself at Maritzburg United, on another loan deal.

In his interview in this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma, Mabaso opens up about his situation. He also reveals why he was happy to join United and work under Steve Komphela. We also share with you some very interesting comparative statistics between Rheece Evans, who joined Sundowns from Maritzburg, against Mabaso.

Christopher Katongo – The Zambian international striker joined Bidvest Wits at the end of last season, following a disappointing half-a-season campaign with relegated Golden Arrows.

In this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma, Katongo reveals why he decided to join Wits instead of other interested club. He also sets the record straight about a rumoured demand of more money after having reportedly agreed terms with Chippa United.

Tsunami, as Katongo is affectionately known, also talks about their 2-0 home loss against Orlando Pirates in the MTN8 semi-final first leg and what they need to do to turn the tables in the second leg on Saturday evening.

Sadate Ouro-Akoriko – AmaZulu wasted no time in securing the Togolese international defender’s services when it became clear that he wasn’t going to continue his stay at Free State Stars, following the expiry of his contract with Ea Lla Koto.

In this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma, Akoriko reveals why he had to leave Stars and also talks about not joining Orlando Pirates when they came for his services.

Kingston Nkhatha – The Zimbabwean international striker seems to have finally managed to win back the section of the Kaizer Chiefs supporters who have subjected him to some boos since joining them from Black Leopards, if his current form is anything to go by.

In this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma, Nkhatha reveals what influenced his good start to the new season. He also reacts to his countryman, Knowledge Musona’s situation and the possibility of Chiefs having to do without the talented striker this season. He also credits the club’s assistant coach, Doctor Khumalo, for the superb goal he scored against Mpumalanga Black Aces in the quarterfinals of the MTN8.

Zane Moosa – The former Bafana Bafana and Mamelodi Sundowns skilful midfielder opens up about what is happening at the Chloorkop-based club in this week’s Revolving column.

Moosa also gives his views on a section of the team’s supporters who booed head coach, Pitso Mosimane after playing to a 1-all draw at home recently. He also reveals why he still thinks Sundowns will bounce back.

There’s also a lot of Siyagobhoza stories to look forward to.
