In anticipation of this week’s 1074th edition of Soccer Laduma, we preview some of the features included. The latest edition will be available at your nearest outlet tomorrow, Wednesday, May 23.

Percy Tau feature

One player that has stood head and shoulders above the rest is Mamelodi Sundowns’ Percy Tau. What exactly sets Tau apart from the rest of the attackers in the PSL? Soccer Laduma delves into the statistics and sees in which areas he most excels.

Kaizer Chiefs feature

The Amakhosi faithful have yet again suffered another disappointing season as the Naturena-based club have gone three seasons without any silverware and the obvious question is what has gone wrong at the club? It seems like the relationship between the club’s management and the supporters are not as close as it used to be. Soccer Laduma’s Beaver Nazo chats to the supporters to hear their cries.

Happy Jele interview

In his 12-year stint with Orlando Pirates, Happy Jele has seen it all and has been through the highs and lows. He chats to Soccer Laduma editor Vuyani Joni about what it means to him to play for Pirates and what head coach Milutin Sredojevic expects from him.

Nedbank Cup final review

The Nedbank Cup final saw two surprise package team’s in Free State Stars and Maritzburg United face off at Cape Town. In the end, Luc Eymael’s Ea Lla Koto side walked away with the gold medal. Soccer Laduma breaks down the encounter.

Also in issue 1074…

Nyiko Mobbie interview

One of the most promising players in the PSL, Free State Stars’ Nyiko Mobbie has been growing from strength to strength and has caught the eye of other clubs in the league. Soccer Laduma’s Celine Abrahams chats to the right back about winning his first title with Ea Lla Koto and he clears the rumours of the reported interest in his services.

Richard Ofori interview

Maritzburg United have had an impressive 2017/18 season where the club displayed good football and one player that has played a major part in the team’s success is none other than goalkeeper, Richard Ofori. The Ghanaian shot-stopper tells Soccer Laduma’s Beaver Nazo about the disappointment of losing out in the Nedbank Cup final and he touches on how his career all started for him.

UEFA Champions League final preview

The much-anticipated UCL final between Real Madrid and Liverpool will take place on Saturday, May 26. Soccer Laduma’s International editor, David Kappel chats to two-time champion with Los Blancos, Bodo Illgner as they preview the encounter.

NFD play-off interviews

The promotion/relegation play-offs started off on a dramatic note last Wednesday, with Ajax Cape Town ruled out of the mini-tournament after a ruling on the Tendai Ndoro matter was made, resulting in Platinum Stars taking the Urban Warriors’ spot. Soccer Laduma’s Celine Abrahams chats to all three camps involved.

Revolving column

This week we hear from SA football legend, Ntokozo Sikhakhane about the Senzo Meyiwa commemoration match as he reveals all the details.

In this week’s dose of our beloved Siyagobhoza, the crew reveals that Sundowns are reportedly scouting a player from Benin, Chiefs set to take advantage of Ajax’s plight, and one of Pirates’ coaching staff has attracted interest elsewhere, as well as much, much more!

Sundown is always 3 steps ahead of all the teams. They have the Master plan of always wanting better quality players unlike they used to buy everyone who was available. they now look at what their downfalls are and strengthen accordingly. As for Soweto Sleeping Giants, they are so confused and they will buy 13 players every season and loan 5 out then recall them then sell them. Floyd and Mbele are really signing rubbish for Bucs the less we talk about Zimbabwean Cheaper Academy the better.
