In This Week's Edition Of Soccer Laduma

By Soccer Laduma - May 08, 2018 03:08 PM

In anticipation of this week’s 1072nd edition of Soccer Laduma, we preview some of the features included. The latest edition will be available at your nearest outlet tomorrow, Wednesday, May 05.

Mamelodi Sundowns feature

Mamelodi Sundowns supporters have been a great sight to see this season as they have been seen singing and dancing on the stands, rallying behind their on-form team. There has been a revolution amongst the Masandawana faithful as Soccer Laduma editor Vuyani Joni finds out who was responsible for this change of behaviour on the grandstand.

Kaizer Chiefs feature

Last week, the team looked at which players Kaizer Chiefs should look to offload, and going into this edition, Soccer Laduma’s Celine Abrahams sat down with the editorial team as we focus on the players that could make a significant difference to the Amakhosi team should they be roped in.

Also in issue 1072…

Owen Da Gama interview

Highlands Park have secured their spot in the ABSA Premiership for next season. Head Coach Owen Da Gama has done a spectacular job in guiding his side as they return to the top flight. Soccer Laduma’s Beaver Nazo welcomes back ‘ODG’.

Sammy Seabi interview

The Limpopo-born midfielder has been a regular feature for Polokwane City where he has been creating and scoring goals. But, who is this lad and what makes him tick? Soccer Laduma’s Beaver Nazo finds out.

Joseph Antoine-Bell interview

In a glittering career that spanned almost three decades, Joseph-Antoine Bell earned the respect of his peers across the globe as one of the finest shot-stoppers during his time, largely due to his safekeeping and the agility to spin acrobatically into the air and bring off a save many considered almost impossible. Soccer Laduma’s Thomas Kwenaite spoke to the Cameroonian as he reveals all about his illustrious career.

NFD interview

Soccer Laduma’s Peter Raath chats to Witbank Spurs’ COO, Freddy Mapulane about the play-offs.

Revolving column

This week we hear from former Mamelodi Sundowns winger Lebohang Mokoena on the MDC Shield, the last day of the ABSA Premiership league matches and on Sundowns’ CAF Champions League encounters.

Siyagobhoza

In this week’s edition of our beloved Siyagobhoza, the crew reveals that Chiefs and Sundowns are reportedly in a tussle for an Ajax Cape Town defensive player, Orlando Pirates are said to be opting for a swap for a Highlands Park player, and Sundowns are interested in adding another goalkeeper to their squad, as well as much, much more!

I think the SAPS must also arrest soccer laduma editor. You're the one who incite that voilence against Mr Kompela by your poor reporting. You contributed 99.9% in Mr kompela resignation. Now you are on it trying to offload players before Mr Motaung did. Y mara?

We have the largest support base in Southern hemisphere. The more the news about Chiefs, the more fans buy the paper. That balances the monetary side of things and keeps the business afloat. The small Dunu champions have less than 6000 fans worldwide, they contribute much inferior income to SL compared to us -if us and Rats fans can decide to boycott SL paper purchases, they'd quickly go bankrupt! I just wanted to enlighten some over ambitious dunu's little fans of this reality: Either they win the Backdoor star and league titles consecutively, they remain inferior to the mighty glamour boys and ofcourse, our neighboring filthy and tail-less rodents. If you have a problem with this go jump off the nearest bridge and die, better yet, come over here im in Soweto- I'll give you the address.
