In This Week's Edition Of Soccer Laduma

By Soccer Laduma - Apr 03, 2018 02:48 PM

In anticipation of this week’s 1067th edition of Soccer Laduma, we preview some of the features included. The latest edition will be available at your nearest outlet tomorrow, Wednesday, April 4.

Siyanda Xulu feature

When Siyanda Xulu was roped into the Kaizer Chiefs side, it was expected that he would be the lynchpin in the Amakhosi defence, however, it turned out to be a nightmarish two years for the KwaMashu-born player. His contract was terminated, but Xulu has bounced right back with his outstanding performances for Maritzburg United. Soccer Laduma takes a look at his remarkable change of fortune.

Thamsanqa Sangweni feature

‘Jeje’ as midfielder Thamsanqa Sangweni is known in football circles, joined Orlando Pirates with big shoes to fill as his older brother, Siyabonga earned his stripes at the Buccaneers. However, over time things have not turned out well for the lanky midfielder. Soccer Laduma investigates whether the Empangeni-born player still has a place in the Pirates team.

Also in issue 1067…

Manti Mekoa interview

The experienced defensive midfielder, Manti Mekoa has seen it all in his journey in the PSL as well as the National First Division. The 32-year-old was brought into the Platinum Stars side by head coach Roger De Sa to help the club survive the plunge as Dikwena sit last on the log standings. Soccer Laduma’s Celine Abrahams chats to Mekoa as he opens up about his journey and how Stars players feel about their current situation.

Deon Hotto interview

Soccer Laduma’s Beaver Nazo caught up with Bloemfontein Celtic’s Deon Hotto as he talks about the season so far and his desires.

Matthew Rusike interview

Matthew Rusike moves around a lot faster than a Johannesburg Park Station pickpocket! The Cape Town City striker has played for a total of nine different clubs at the age of 27. Soccer Laduma’s Beaver Nazo chats to the Zimbabwean about his itchy feet and the expectations since moving back to the PSL.

Dino Ndlovu interview

Dino Ndlovu’s story reads like a fairytale. Dumped by Mamelodi Sundowns. Receiving death threats at Maccabi Haifa in Israel. Finding himself in the middle of alleged cliques at SuperSport United. Ridiculed for choosing to ply his trade in Cyprus and then Azerbaijan. Few would have predicted that the Klerksdorp-born marksman would be playing against Chelsea in the group stages of the Champions League, thus attracting interest from far and wide. In this interview, a happy and contented Ndlovu, who’s just moved to Hangzhou Greentown in lucrative China, tells Soccer Laduma’s Celine Abrahams about the thorny road travelled.

NFD interview

Soccer Laduma’s Peter Raath chats to Richard’s Bay FC defender, Howard Davids about his long career, as well as relegation.

Revolving column

This week we hear from former Kaizer Chiefs defender, Mokete Tsotetsi about the upcoming league and Nedbank Cup semi-final duels between Chiefs and Free State Stars.

Siyagobhoza

In this week’s edition of our beloved Siyagobhoza, the crew reveals that Mamelodi Sundowns are said to be open to the sale of one of their foreign attackers, Chiefs and SuperSport United have their eyes set on a Bidvest Wits striker, and the crew investigates the future of Orlando Pirates’ Justice Chabalala, as well as much, much more!

I dnt think sangweni is not playing because he is not good enough, the reason is pirates have quality players and are doing good, he must be strong and fight or jump off the ship
