In This Week’s Edition Of Soccer Laduma 1034th edition

By Soccer Laduma - Aug 01, 2017 05:37 PM
In anticipation of this week’s 1034th edition of Soccer Laduma, we preview some of the features included. The latest edition will be available at your nearest outlet tomorrow, Wednesday, 2 August.

Thamsanqa Sangweni interview
There was much interest in him and he even had a training stint with Bidvest Wits, but Thamsanqa Sangweni ended up at Orlando Pirates. After making an impressive debut coming on as a substitute in last weekend’s Soweto Derby, Zola Doda caught up with him about life at Bucs so far and trying to emulate his big brother....

Gustavo Paez feature
Gustavo Paez has shown glimpses of what to expect from him this season, after his exploits in the Maize Cup and the Carling Black Label Cup respectively. Is he the man to deliver the league title to success-hungry Kaizer Chiefs? In this feature, we speak to a whole lot of people about the Venezuelan, including his agent Joao Betancourt.

Manqoba Mngqithi & Rhulani Mokwena feature
Pitso Mosimane is the reigning CAF Coach of the Year, but next to him is a duo of assistants well worth their weight in gold. Many might downplay the role played by Mngqithi and Mokwena in the success of Mamelodi Sundowns, but rest assured, they are not ‘yes men’ to ‘Jingles’. What makes them tick? Some of their former players and colleagues tell us all!

Also in issue 1034…

Maboke Matlakala interview
He proved to be a good signing for Baroka FC in January, helping the Limpopo club survive relegation by a whisker, which has led to Platinum Stars signing him. Matlakala shares the reasons for his decision and reveals his aims for the upcoming season.

Pierre Delvaux interview
In this exclusive, the former Thanda Royal Zulu club boss pours his heart out to Kyle Smith about his decision to sell the club’s status to AmaZulu. Delvaux leaves no stone unturned as he reveals the difficulties of running a soccer club and hits back at claims made by the uMhlathuze Municipality!

AC Milan feature
It’s no secret that AC Milan are no longer the dominant force they once were in Europe.  Mid-table finishes and trophyless seasons have become their trademark.  This year, though, offers a ray of hope and it seems that the Diavoli (Devils) may seem to be emerging from their fiery hell. Rossella Marrai-Ricco looks at why football could see the return of the Italian giants.

NFD Focus
Jomo Cosmos assistant coach, Siza Dlamini, opens up about the lessons he’s learnt from Jomo Sono. He also talks about his role as Swaziland’s COSAFA Cup’s Ambassador.

Revolving Column
This week we hear from former Mamelodi Sundowns and Platinum Stars striker, Hareaipha ‘Simba’ Marumo. He and several other football legends were invited to be part of the Mandela Month festivities at Barberton Prison on Monday, and he talks about the fun day with the prisoners.

Siyagobhoza
In this week’s edition of Siyagobhoza, the crew bears the news of one ‘Big Three’ club edging the other in the race to land an Ajax Cape Town defender, Bongani Zungu’s future, Orlando Pirates’ interest in a Maritzburg United striker and a must-read special feature on the growing interest in Sinethemba Jantjie!

Thanx fo the article about Tripple M. But I think u should have done a better job than that. E.g. views from the current players, Pitso, even their own interviews. Maybe a word from Bra J would have been great !!

Cowditor thank you so much for revealing that Pitso is a window dresser not a coach. Before Mokoena and Mnqithi Pitso was trophyless for full 5 years a Dunudunu coach.

Sangwei, Nyatama, Sundeland good signing. Pirates must use Gabuza, Manyisa and Makola to get New zealander striker from supersport and do away with defenders who played on sad. Or use them to trade for other players.
