Usuthu collected the points from six wins and two draws, having finished the quarter with no loss.

For their efforts, the KwaZulu-Natal giants have won R1.5 million in prize money for the first time in history, which was the same feat achieved by their neighbours Golden Arrows who were confirmed as the winners of the Q2 in February.

Meanwhile, AmaZulu’s neighbours Maritzburg United and Mamelodi Sundowns both finished the quarter on 15 points and in second and third positions respectively.

“AmaZulu Football Club have been confirmed as the DStv Premiership Q-Innovation Quarter Three Winners. Usuthu won the eight-match Quarter three (Q3) block after collecting 20 points with an impressive record of six wins and two draws. Maritzburg United and Mamelodi Sundowns (both on 15 points) finished quarter three in second and third positions respectively. In their next match, AmaZulu are scheduled to host Baroka FC next Tuesday as they will be looking to push Sundowns to the end in the DStv Premiership title race.

With four matches to go, the Durban-based side is in second place on the log standings and behind Sundowns by only one point, although the Brazilians are left with six matches in their campaign.
