After two games in their 2013 Africa Cup of Nations campaign, Bafana Bafana have racked up one draw and one win, with the victory having come in their most recent game against Angola.
A draw will guarantee South Africa passage to the next round in Sunday’s game at the Moses Mabhida Stadium and although Bafana lead Group A with four points, coach Gordon Igesund tells the Siya crew that they are not getting carried away after their triumph over Angola.
He said their focus is still on winning the remaining group game which will see them stay on in Durban for the quarterfinals. He added that the players’ focus has not changed, with winning being their main objective.
"Yes we have played two games. Drew one and won one, why should we change our focus?” questioned the coach.
He went on, “We can't get carried away with that just now. We need to keep going until the end. The players know that and everyone else knows that we have to win the last game to be on top of our group and remain in Durban for the quarterfinals.
“It hasn't been easy and it won't be easy now, so we have to fight hard for the win on Sunday," the four time PSL title winning coach concluded.
