Bafana Bafana coach Gordon Igesund will be heading into their upcoming three fixtures without some of his regular first choice internationals, with a number of players currently nursing their respective injuries.
The team has most notably been affected in defence, and Igesund will be trying out new combinations in the friendly game against Lesotho this afternoon. However, he believes that the players he has available will do the job.
He told the Siya crew that he will try out various combinations ahead of the World Cup qualifiers against Central African Republic (CAR) and Ethiopia.
"We need to look at other combinations in the team. So we have devised a training programme that will ensure that we don’t burn them out but have them ready for the two crucial matches against CAR and Ethiopia.
“So this game against Lesotho will help us look at the combinations, and we would want to win as well, just like in all other games that we play,” Igesund concluded.
