Bafana Bafana are playing against Angola on Wednesday at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, in their second Group A fixture of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
Both teams played to goalless draws in their respective opening games on Saturday at the National Stadium, with both nations now looking to get their first win of the tournament.
Despite the set-back of playing to a dull 0-0 draw against Cape Verde, coach Gordon Igesund tells the Siya crew that everyone in the Bafana squad has the belief that they can qualify for the quarterfinals.
He said that he has addressed the players on the their two final group stage games, and the players are aware of the importance of winning.
“We were all not happy with the first game's result. We wanted a win and the truth is the players were also disappointed about their showing. But we know it’s all behind us now, we cannot undo it. They know they let a good opportunity go by and now it is about time to correct that mistake and win against Angola.
“The remaining two matches will be crucial for us, to help us. But we have to start with the next match. I remain confident that with the six points from the two games and the point we already have, we can win our group.
“We still have the chance in our group and the players know what to do to grab those chances. I have spoken to them and they understand,” Igesund concluded.
