Bafana Bafana head coach, Gordon Igesund, is expecting all 23 of his players as the national team undergo a medical in Pretoria tomorrow morning.
Igesund’s men will meet at 9am tomorrow as they prepare to go through a medical examination ahead of this month’s CHAN tournament that starts in Cape Town on January 11.
Despite the fact that they have a game against Kaizer Chiefs midway through the tournament, Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed that all of their players will be available for CHAN, although Chiefs have explained that they want to release their players after the Sundowns encounter on January 23.

Speaking to the Siya crew, Igesund said that he wasn’t planning to make any changes to his team. He said, “I’m expecting all of the players that I picked to report to camp tomorrow when they all undergo medicals in Pretoria tomorrow morning. The only player who won’t be coming is (Reneilwe) Letsholonyane, who has already been replaced.
“After the medicals we will return to Johannesburg to fly out to Cape Town to start our camp and begin preparations for the tournament.”
Bafana’s first game will see them host Mozambique at Cape Town Stadium on January 11before they take on Mali and Nigeria on the 15th and 19th respectively.
