SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt feels that his side deserved more after their 1-0 loss against Kazier Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup final on Saturday.
Matsatsantsa came into the game as defending champions and frustrated Amakhosi for some time. United also went on to waste some good chances to take the lead - something that was punished in the end.
Hunt admits that their failure in front of goal has been a major problem this season, but applauded his team for their effort.
"You don't always get what you deserve. I thought we deserved much better than that," he said.
"There was only one team in it until they scored, but that's been the story of our whole season hasn't it? We should have been 3-0 up before the scored.
"The players have been great. I thought we were magnificent today. I thought we deserved more today, that's for sure.
"They never had a shot at goal until they scored, and then the game opened up and I said before the game that if the game opens up they would dominate.
"They've had a good season, they won the double, they've been the best side, but I thought, to be fair, we deserved more and we did great."
