Wits coach, Gavin Hunt, says mercurial midfielder, Sibusiso Vilakazi, can do more in terms of scoring goals and believes his skipper could have finished the season as the PSL's top goalscorer.
Speaking during the Nedbank Cup semi-final draw, the Students mentor said.
"Sibusiso Vilakazi could have had 15 goals by now. His Bafana Bafana material ", He said.
He has been a stand out player for Wits this season after netting 11 goals in all competition, which is relatively a good return for a midfielder. Vilakazi’s shining performances have caught the eye of a number of overseas based teams, and had a trial stint at Danish side, Brondby IF.
"I think Sibusiso Vilakazi can do more. I think he could have been top goal scorer this season ", he further said.
After being drawn against Kaizer Chiefs in the semi-finals, Hunt reiterated the magnitude of the contest at this stage of the competition saying: "When we come to the final stretch, everybody is fighting for something. A lot is at stake."
In the Absa Premiership, Wits have proved to be feisty contenders and now look to further their aspirations in the Nedbank Cup.
