SuperSport United head coach Gavin Hunt has conceded that Wednesday’s league outing against the defending PSL champions, Orlando Pirates, will be a challenging affair.
The defending Nedbank Cup champions will be at the Orlando Stadium following the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations break, as the 2012/13 league campaign resumes. Hunt believes that the break had both positive and negative impacts on his squad.
The coach explains that although they played in a number of club friendlies, those games cannot be compared to the intensity of competitive fixtures.
“You see we played some friendly games during the break but those were just practice matches and they are different from games like these. This one will be tough. We are both coming from the break and three points are at stake.
“History doesn't always repeat itself and we have to work for the result on Wednesday," Hunt concluded.
The two sides met in the first round of the season at the Peter Mokaba Stadium, where they played to a goalless draw.
