Bidvest Wits head coach, Gavin Hunt was delighted to see Cuthbert Malajila back among the goals for the Clever Boys.
The Zimbabwean came off the bench and scored the only goal of the game to lead Wits to a 1-0 win over Orlando Pirates on Thursday evening.
"I said to them before the game, I said '1-0 will win this game,'" Hunt said after the game.
"In the first half we had some really good opportunities to score and we didn't, and I said one goal would win it here, so we stuck at it and made the change at half-time.
"I thought we didn't have a focal point at halftime, so we got the focal point and we were a little bit better, and Cuthbert (Malajila) – I'm happy for him because he's been working really hard for the team and he scored."
Ben Motshwari, who picked up the Man of the Match award, claims the margin of the victories do not matter at this stage of the season for them.
"It was a tough game, we need these three points especially after the game we played against (Mamelodi) Sundowns," he added.
"We just have to grind, even it's 1-0, 2-1 or 2-0, it doesn't matter as along as you keep collecting those points."
