Kekana's New Deal: Skipper Set To Retire At Sundowns?
Hlompho Kekana Could Retire At Mamelodi Sundowns
Hlompho Kekana could very well see out his professional football career at Mamelodi Sundowns after putting pen to paper on a long-term deal at the club.
It was previously reported on Soccer Laduma that the 32-year-old extended his stay with the Brazilians, following months of ongoing negotiations.
Kekana was previously being monitored by the likes of Kaizer Chiefs and Bidvest Wits prior to the player penning a new deal with the CAF Champions League winners, however, in May this year, all was settled.
As reported in this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma, the midfielder signed a three-year deal with Sundowns, which means that the 32-year-old could look to retire at the Chloorkop-based club, as his deal is set to run until, at least, June of 2020.
Should the skipper look to hang up his boots after his Masandawana stay, indications are that Kekana could be roped into the club’s backroom staff thereafter.
