Hlompho Kekana is expected to return to the starting line-up for Mamelodi Sundowns for their Absa Premiership game with Jomo Cosmos today.
The midfield maestro missed the team’s league game with Polokwane City on Wednesday. The 30-year-old sat out the game, as he was finishing his two-game suspension for the red card he received in the 3-1 loss to Bloemfontein Celtic last month.
The first game that Kekana sat out, as part of his two-game suspension, was against Mbombela United in the Nedbank Cup.
During Kekana’s absence, Pitso Mosimane and his technical team gave Tiyani Mabunda a chance to play in Sundowns midfield alongside Bangaly Soumahoro.
Mabunda performed well against Polokwane during the 3-1 win for Sundowns in midweek. With Downs attempting to finish the job in their PSL title chase with the remaining six games of the season, Mosimane is likely to have Kekana back in the starting line-up to face Cosmos with his best team.
The match will commence at 18:00 from the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
