Thulani Hlatshwayo feels highly motivated following his call-up to Gordon Igesund’s Bafana Bafana squad, ahead of the Cosafa Senior Challenge.
The Ajax Cape Town defender has explained that the Urban Warriors have started training and he feels confident that they will have a better campaign than last season.
The Urban Warriors’ hard-man told Ajaxct.com, “Training has been good so far. The first few days at training since has not been too heavy, our trainers are sure to build-up the intensity of our training sessions in the next few days.
“We are looking forward to the new season, there is an air of excitement amongst the players and we do not want a repeat of last season’s performances.”
Hlatshwayo’s hard-work has been rewarded with a call-up to the national team for the Cosafa Cup. He is delighted with his inclusion, and thanked Soccer-Laduma for the well wishes.
He told Soccer-Laduma, “It feels amazing to have been selected for the squad. It will show the new boys in the Ajax squad that they can make it to the Bafana squad too. Thanks for the message of congratulations.”
The Bafana squad will assemble on Wednesday, July 10, whereafter they will fly to Lusaka, Zambia, for their training camp. Their first game will be on July 13, against the winners of Group A.
