News filtering through to Siya crew’s desk is that former Jomo Cosmos defender, Thabiso Hlalele, is undergoing trials at Polokwane City.
City who are at position 13 on the Absa Premiership standings are looking to remain in the PSL this season and are currently preparing for the second round by bolstering the squad.
The Siya crew contacted City’s Media and Liaison officer, Patrick Baloyi, who says that the coach is looking for players and cannot reveal the names at this stage.
“I think the best way is to call the coach as I’m not in a position to reveal who are these players he’s currently looking at. All I know is that there are players he has invited to train with the squad so that he can have a closer look at them,” said Baloyi.
After talking to Baloyi, the Siya crew contacted a source close to the club, that revealed of two Jomo Cosmos players are currently training with 'Rise and Shine' since yesterday, and one of them is Thabiso Hlalele.
“I have seen two players in training, these guys came in yesterday and I know they’re from Jomo Cosmos. I’m not sure how long will they train with us or whether the coach is happy with them. Maybe Nzunga and Moholo are still coming but these are the only guys who are on trial at the club,” said the source.
Siya crew managed to get hold of Hlalele, the former Ezenkosi defender confrmed that he is training with City.
"I have been training with City for two days now and so far so good, I hope I will impress and get a contract. The coach hasn't told me anything yet as I've been out with an injury for along time, but I believe everything will go smooth. At the moment I'm not registered with any team as I was training on my before I trained with City," said Hlalele.
The Siya crew will keep you updated regarding player movements at City.
