Moroka Swallows have had their confidence boosted after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Platinum Stars on Tuesday night. It was only the second time this year that the Dube Birds had come away with three points. Club captain, Leefa Tsutsulupa, have admitted that they are feeling the pressure, and going into this tie, Zeca Marques will want to see his charges continue where they left off. Ajax Cape Town are just as much eager to collect the three points after succumbing to a 2-0 loss at the hands of Mpumalanga Black Aces at home exactly a week ago.
The on-form Mpumalanga Black Aces outfit who are mentored by former Bafana Bafana coach, Clive Barker, have gone six matches unbeaten in the league, with their latest huge victory coming off an impressive 1-0 win against Orlando Pirates at the Orlando Stadium on Wednesday night. Former Pirates man, Thulasizwe Mbuyane, came back to haunt his old club and steered his new club to level on points with the Buccaneers in fourth spot. AmaZayoni are up against another side that has played really great football, and currently occupy third position in the Absa Premiership standings. Wits have strived well under Gavin Hunt this season, and will want to pick up as many points as possible with only eight games to the end of the season.
Another highly anticipated match will see Johannesburg come up against Pretoria. SuperSport United and Orlando Pirates always produce fireworks when the two sides meet. Matsatsantsa a Pitori have already beaten Pirates in the first round away from home, and will want to complete a double over the Buccaneers.
AmaZulu have become one of the most talked-about teams this season, and are still on course to finish in the top eight though the KZN side has played more games than the rest of the teams. Usuthu played to a 0-0 draw against Celtic last weekend, and will want to collect maximum points at home against another side in Free State Stars who are still flirting with relegation.
Following their 3-0 loss to Polokwane City in the PSL first round, the University of Pretoria are looking to avenge that defeat when they welcome Boebie Solomons’ side to the Tuks Stadium in tomorrow’ s late afternoon fixture. AmaTuks are fighting for a top eight spot, and Polokwane City on the other hand are desperate to pick up points that could lift them out of the relegation zone.
The weekend’s hotly-anticipated fixture will see cross-town rivals, Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns square off in what many believe will give a clear indication where the PSL title could be heading at the end of the season. Both sides have been in scintillating form in this campaign brushing aside their oppoenents, and look set to be the only two teams to possibly take this season’s PSL race down to the wire. In the first round, the Glamour Boys saw off Bafana Ba Style courtesy of a Wayne Arendse own goal, and it remains to be seen which side will emerge victorious.

MOROKA SWALLOWS V AJAX CAPE TOWN
League table: Swallows 10th and Ajax 12th
Useful facts: Swallows just can’t get any form going in 2014 and could potentially get drawn back down into a relegation battle. Ajax are also struggling a little recently, meaning this will be a very nervy affair at the Dobsonville Stadium.
Masebe Qina: Draw. Both teams are inconsistent of late.
BLACK ACES V WITS
League table: Aces 5th and Wits 3rd
Useful facts: Aces are a lovely little footballing side who, under Clive Barker, attempt to get it down on the deck and pass. Wits are also playing some eye-catching stuff which means this could be a cracking affair in Mpumalanga.
Masebe Qina: Aces win. They’re playing nice football.
SUPERSPORT UNITED V ORLANDO PIRATES
League table: United 8th and Pirates 4th
Useful facts: SuperSport haven’t yet secured a top eight finish and will be keen to do so in Cavin Johnson’s first season in charge. Pirates are chasing a top four finish and won’t want to drop any further points. Expect a good game in Pretoria.
Masebe Qina: Pirates win.
AMAZULU V FREE STATE STARS
League table: AmaZulu 7th and Stars 14th
Useful facts: AmaZulu have had an incredibly comfortable season with few alarm bells and no real reason for any panic to set in. Credit must go to Craig Rosslee for this. Meanwhile, Stars are still in relegation trouble and will be targeting a win.
Masebe Qina: Draw. This will be a tight one.
UNIVERSITY OF PRETORIA V POLOKWANE CITY
League table: Tuks 11th and City 15th
Useful facts: Tuks are a tricky side to break down at their home ground in Pretoria. Steve Barker has an organised side that tries to focus on their strengths. This means struggling Polokwane City will be up against it at Tuks Stadium.
Masebe Qina: Polokwane victory. They need it!
CHIEFS V SUNDOWNS
League table: Chiefs 1st and Downs 2nd
Useful facts: In a match which could potentially decide the PSL title race, league leaders Chiefs will face a hard-chasing Downs outfit. This game is sure to be an epic clash with so much at stake. It could also be a defining match in Pitso Mosimane’s coaching career for the Brazilians.
Masebe Qina: Yho! This will be close. Win for Downs to open up the title race.
