Platinum Stars striker, Henrico Botes, has confirmed that he will not be signing a new contract at the club once his current one expires.
The veteran forward has struggled with injury this season after an impressive campaign in 2012/13, and will see his contract in Phokeng end in June.
It has recently been reported by the Siya crew that Dikwena had a one-year option on the 34-year-old, though it seems that they have opted not to take it, with the forward not in Allan Freese's plans.
Speaking to the Siya crew, the Namibian said, “We had a meeting and the coach feels that I’m not in his future plans, so it’s time for a new chapter in my career to begin.”
It remains to be seen where Botes’ future will take him, though there will no doubt be a handful of PSL clubs queueing up to take him on board ahead of the 2014/15 season.
