Gavin Hunt says that Gabadinho Mhango’s ‘gamebreaker’ skills are what his side have been lacking during the player’s six-match suspension.
Mhango made his return to action on Saturday, December 02, where Wits were crowned the 2017 Telkom Knockout champions.
Following his six-match suspension after being fined for misconduct for an incident which took place in September this year, Head Coach Hunt gave Mhango a full 90-minute run-out on Saturday, however, the Wits’ mentor feels like the player was not up to standard on the day.
“For me, he wasn’t up to it today, can see it rushed him, but what he has that we don’t have on our team is a gamebreaker. He can win you games and I think that is what we haven’t had. He has been six, seven games out, he hasn’t scored in I think over a year,” he told the media after the game.
“He is a striker, but I am being harsh, but he can be so much better. Like the Pule’s they can be so much better, but football is not about your ability it is about your desire and heart and all those types of things,” Hunt added.
