News reaching the Siya crew is that Chippa United goalkeeper, Ryan Harrison, has left Chippa United and is set to have his case heard by the Premier Soccer League in a bid to be declared a free agent.
The son of former Chilli Boys coach, Mark Harrison, decided to walk from the Philipi-based club due to the fact that his salary had not been paid in full, and had not been given his bonuses.
It is said that Chippa had asked for a two-week postponement to prepare their case, but it seems this was declined as the PSL felt that the matter needed to be sorted out as soon as possible.
The Siya crew believes that Harrison will be given free agent status at the end of the hearing, which is reportedly set to be held at 10:00 this morning.
Soccer-Laduma attempted to contact Chippa United CEO Peter Koutroulis for comment but he did not answer his phone at the time. The Siya crew will continue to monitor the situation.
