Chippa United goalkeeper Ryan Harrison has been declared a free agent after winning his DRC case, which he brought against the club.
The son of former Chilli Boys’ coach, Mark Harrison, decided to quit the Cape Town club after complaining that his salary had not been paid in full, while there were also claims of unpaid bonuses.
The PSL's head communication, Connie Motshumi, confirmed to Soccer-Laduma that the 27-year-old can now join the club of his choice.
“Harrison’s been declared a free agent by the DRC,” she said. “In that respect he’s won his case but I’m not sure who will pay for the cost of the hearing.”
Soccer-Laduma has learnt that the player had a clean-sheet clause in his contract, which formed part of the unpaid bonuses claim.
