Orlando Pirates defender Siyabonga Sangweni has not looked back since the first time he was called up to the national team. He was part of the 2010 World Cup squad and now he is part of the 2013 African Cup of Nations team that will represent South Africa.
Hard Work Pays Off For Sangweni
The KZN-born defender told Soccer-Laduma that his hard work over the years has really paid off, and has been an important part of his football success.
"I think I have worked very hard to be where I am. I have also to thank my teammates at Orlando Pirates who have always pushed me to be where I am right now and you know as a national team we want to make the country proud.
"We know that there is no easy tournament but as a team we want to go all out and do it for the country. We just urge the nation to support the team and we will do the job," the former Golden Arrows defender said.
