News coming out of the Orlando Pirates camp is that defender, Happy Jele, will go for a scan today to determine the extent of his injury.
Affectionately known as Magents by the Bucs faithful, Jele pulled a hamstring during last night’s game against Maritzburg United, and was replaced by captain, Lucky Lekgwathi.
Pirates PRO, Mickey Modisane, tells the Siya crew that Jele will go for scans later on today.
“He has a troublesome hamstring injury, so he is going for a scan later today to see if he has not aggravated it. We’ll only know after he has come back from the doctor if he will be ready for the Bloemfontein Celtic clash on Monday,” said Modisane.
Meanwhile, Modisane applauded the Pirates team for coming away with three points in the Maritzburg game.
“Maritzburg made it difficult for us to break them down and they almost caught us on counter on several occasions, but we managed to collect all the points in the end, so well done to the boys for last night’s win,” commented Modisane.
Pirates’ next game is against Bloemfontein Celtic on Monday.
