Despite it being thought that Israeli club Maccabi Haifa may opt to release their South African striker, Dino Ndlovu, the player has now confirmed that they have assured him that he is part of their future plans.
The Siya crew reported earlier this week that Ndlovu, who scored 17 goals for Haifa last season, could be released by the club because of his injury problems and in order to free-up a foreign berth.
However, the 23-year-old has revealed that he has now been contacted by the Israeli giants and informed that he is part of their plans for next season.
The Bafana Bafana international told the Siya crew, “The club have contacted me and told me that I'm definitely part of their plans. I enjoyed my first season at Haifa and scored a lot of goals, hopefully I can score even more next season. I'm fully committed to them and I can't wait to get fit and fight to get back into the team.”
Ndlovu’s form last season did attract interest from France, Belgium and Romania, although it seems that, for now at least, he is eager to prove his worth in Israel and continue to justify the R15 million that the club spent on him last year.
