Orlando Pirates defender, Edwin Gyimah, is determined to finish the season on a high note as they prepare for their penultimate game of the season against Chippa United tonight.
The Buccaneers haven’t enjoyed the best of seasons and are currently sixth on the Absa Premiership standings, and Gyimah has admitted that his side have fallen short of their targets, but also admitted that they want to make the most of what time they have left this season.
“Our target was to finish in third position and qualify for Africa,” he told the Siya crew. “But that is not possible at the moment so we have to win the two remaining games, starting today against Chippa United.”
The Ghanaian went on to say that the Mayfair outfit plan to make up for their shortcomings in the league by adding the Nedbank Cup to their trophy cabinet.
“We are also still in the Nedbank Cup and we know how important all these games are, and that's why we want to finish on a high in both the league and the Nedbank Cup,” the Ghana international observed.
Orlando Pirates take on Chippa United at 19:30 tonight at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
