SuperSport United defender, Edwin Gyimah, has signed a new long-term contract with the club.
The 22-year-old has had a brilliant campaign for SuperSport this season, playing a crucial role in their march to the Nedbank Cup final and has attracted plaudits from all over the country.
Now, in return for his fine form, the club have confirmed that he has been tied down at Matsatsantsa, signing a deal that will see him remain there for another four years.
SuperSport’s official Twitter account said, “Edwin Gyimah has extended his SuperSport United contract till 2017.”
Gyimah, who hails from Ghana, made his Black Stars debut last year and will now be hoping to keep up his rise and earn himself a regular spot in his national team.
He defender was recently nominated for two accolades at the PSL Awards, as Most Promising Player of the Tournament as well as Player of the Tournament, however lost out to Tshepo Gumede and Itumeleng Khune respectively.
